ICICI Bank has entered into a strategic agreement with TCS for digital certificate issuance.
As part of the initiative, TCS will provide a comprehensive range of PKI services and digital certificates for ICICI Bank, and enable the bank, as a sub-certifying authority, to offer digital certificates to its clients.
According to Mr. Vidyasagar, apart from complete deployment and customisation of the offering for ICICI Bank, TCS will also train ICICI Bank officials on PKI technology and related operations. The partnership will provide ICICI Bank yet another important advantage in its innovation-led banking.
TCS has over 38 clients under Sub-CA and has been holding talks with many corporates, banks and other financial institutions for issuing digital certificates. Some of the members include BSE, APTS, ICAI, NSDL and UTI Bank.
