ICICI Bank has entered into an agreement with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for digital certificate issuance.
As part of the initiative, TCS will provide a range of PKI services and digital certificates for ICICI Bank, and enable the bank, as a sub-certifying authority, to provide digital certificates to its clients.
Under the terms of the agreement, TCS will deploy and customize the offering for ICICI Bank, as well as train ICICI Bank officials on PKI technology and related operations.
Dr. M. Vidyasagar, executive vice president, TCS, said, "With ICICI Bank joining the TCS-CA Trust Network as a sub-certifying authority, they will be able to issue certificates to their customers thereby enabling secure Internet banking. This marks yet another significant milestone for TCS' PKI services and CA not only in terms of acquiring a very important customer but also in expanding the reach of our Internet security offerings to major corporations."
